INTERVAL / PRACTICAL GUIDES

# Join Zoom, Google Meet and Teams calls from your Mac calendar

By [Cory Parry](https://meetinterval.com/about) , maker of Interval · Updated 7 October 2026

Interval can open supported Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and FaceTime links found in calendar event details. Keep the event in a selected Mac calendar and check that it contains the actual call URL.

## From event to call

1. Confirm that the event is visible in Apple Calendar with a supported meeting URL in its details.
2. Grant Interval calendar read permission and select that event’s calendar.
3. Look for the meeting in Interval’s upcoming or current meeting view.
4. Use the join action when a supported link is present. Your browser or call app handles the meeting, sign-in and any waiting room.

## Why is the join action missing?

A meeting name such as “Teams catch-up” is not a call URL. Check the original invitation in Apple Calendar for the actual link, and confirm that the calendar is selected in Interval. Some invitations use redirects or formats that Interval does not recognise. If it is still missing, open the original invitation’s link directly and [contact support](https://meetinterval.com/support) with the service name. Avoid sending meeting credentials or private links.

## Does Interval change the video call?

No. It opens the supported event link and keeps a personal meeting countdown visible. It does not join on your behalf, bypass call-service sign-in, manage attendees, record audio or generate transcripts on Mac. Its manual notes are separate from the call service.

## Make the end time useful too

Use the scheduled end countdown as a prompt to finish decisions and agree next steps. A five-minute extension affects your personal timer; it does not change the calendar invitation. For another meeting immediately afterward, leave time to close the first call and open the next.

## Stay on top of your meetings

Interval keeps upcoming meetings, start and end countdowns, and overlap warnings at the edge of your Mac. Manual notes are available alongside them. Website lifetime access costs £15.99 once, for two Macs running macOS 26 or later. Pay before download; there is no website trial. The forthcoming Mac App Store version and its planned seven-day app-access trial are separate.
